Abingdon seems like like a very beautiful and tranquil place to visit. I really like the fact that it caters for everyone from children, to nature and animal lovers to sports enthusiasts. How is the climate in Abingdon all season round? And what is the best time to come for a visit would you say?

Late spring/early summer is the best time to visit. After everything has turned green and the flowers are out but before it get really hot. Most definitely my favorite time of year.

    Hi there
Many thanks for this great review of Abington and after reading your post, I suspect that this is a great area to go hiking or indeed to live in, like you have just described.
It’s amazing what local people can do with an area like yours, it seems that the locals have created their own entertainment and hiking trails and I know that the kids have hours and hours of entertainment, without spending big on commercial vacations in far away destinations.
The photograph of the park says it all about this area and I guess you and others are real proud of your area.
    Thanks for highlighting the area.
    Cheers PB
